How to go there?

 

 

There are only two possibile transportations to go to Sicily : Airflights and seaboats.

  1. By airplane, are desserved the airports of Palermo, Catania, and Trapani :

            Departures from France (in the case you decide to visit Paris before coming) here is the list of lowcost flying companies :

  • Transavia.com : Paris - Palermo + Paris - Catania (direct flights)
  • Meridiana.it : Paris - Palermo + Paris - Catania (directs flights)
  • Volawindjet.it : Paris - Palermo + Paris - Catania (direct flights)
  • Ryanair.com : Paris Beauvais - Trapani (direct flights)
  • Easyjet.com : Lyon - Palermo + Lyon - Catania (direct flights)
  • Coming directly from the States, you will certainly stop by Milano or Roma. Scarce are direct flights from abroad to Sicily.

2. By "Ferryboat" :

Once arrived in Sicily, the best mean of transportation is the car even if there are trains or bus between the big cities.

  2. By car, Car rental agencies are quite the same as in the States. You will be required your driver license. However, I advise you to ask for any rental requirements since you are not from Europe.
